Q: What is SCOTISHH in your own words?
A: SCOTISHH is not just fashion — it’s an empire in the making. I call myself a General because every collection is like a battle won, and the streets are my territory. As the Cultural Mayor of Vicenza, I represent the Africans living abroad, building pride and legacy in Italy. Made in Italy, Worn Worldwide is not just a motto — it’s my declaration.
Q: Where does your swag and inspiration come from?
A: The swag? That came early. Growing up, I was inspired by Jim Iyke, one of Nollywood’s boldest actors. Back in high school, I would watch his movies and study his style, his attitude, his fearlessness. My friends even started calling me Jim because I carried that same energy.
Even the name Scot came from one of his movies way back. The title General? That came from the way I always carried myself — commanding, leading, moving like I was born for battle.
Q: You often call yourself Gaddafi Jr. Why?
A: Because I love great men who fought for their people. Muammar Gaddafi was a leader who wanted to free Africa before he was killed. I still remember the day I heard the news — I was on my way to my grandparents’ real estate farm. I cried, because I knew Africa had lost someone powerful.
I call myself “Gaddafi” not to copy anyone, but to represent strength, cultural power, and independence — the kind that challenges false narratives.
Growing up African, I saw how our history and leaders were often defined by outsiders. Muammar Gaddafi is one of those figures: loved by many of his people and across Africa for his vision, yet demonised by Western media and governments.
I see him as a symbol of leadership, unity, and fearlessness — someone who stood up for African identity on a global stage.
Gaddafi Jr.” isn’t about trying to be someone else; it’s about carrying forward certain values that inspire me. I grew up seeing how African history and leadership were often told through outside lenses. Muammar Gaddafi was a figure who, whatever people’s opinions about his politics, projected strength, cultural pride, and a vision for African unity.
I use the name “Gaddafi Jr.” to represent that energy in my own lane — as a designer, creative, and cultural voice. It’s a reminder to lead with confidence, to build something that uplifts my people, and to question the narratives handed to us. It’s part of the SCOTNERO identity: culture, truth, and independence.
When I use that name, it’s about carrying that energy into my work: building SCOTNERO and SCOTISHH® as cultural movements, telling our stories our way, and refusing to let others define us.
👑✊🏾♠️
Growing up, I was drawn to freedom fighters and visionaries:
- Chief Anthony Enahoro – the man who first moved Nigeria’s independence motion.
- Chief Obafemi Awolowo – a great nationalist and thinker.
- Omon’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo Oba Akenzua II, the Oba of Benin – a royal figure of strength and pride.
- Olusegun Obasanjo – a great African leader.
- Julius Malema – a bold voice for today’s generation in South Africa.
- Fela Aníkúlápó Kuti – the fearless Afrobeat pioneer who used music as a weapon.
- VeryDarkMan – a modern-day voice of truth who speaks out without fear, continuing the tradition of standing up for the people.
🫡💐.
And I loved Michael Jackson too, not just as an artist, but as a great African man. When he died, I cried. These moments shaped me.
I’ve always felt like I was an old soul — a warrior from another lifetime. One of my eyes is different because in my past life I was injured on the battlefield. This time, I’ve returned with fire, with God, and with purpose.
Q: What does your name Ehijie mean to you?
A: My native name is EHIJIE, meaning “Sent by Destiny.” My late aunt gave it to me when she witnessed my birth.
I wasn’t sitting in my mother’s womb the normal way — I was hanging on her chest, refusing to come down to this world. My mother’s life was fading, and the Nigerian doctors couldn’t save us. At that exact moment, a white doctor doing charity in Uromi stepped in and saved us both.
That’s why I live by the motto “Bigger Than Black & White.” Because a white man saved me when I was born, I can’t be racist. I don’t judge by skin — I go by heart. Everybody deserves equal respect.
At the end of the day, your money stays in the bank when you die. What you take is your soul, and you face God. On God. And as I always say — “Money no Dey move me, money na my conductor.” Money is just there to take me where I’m going — it doesn’t drive me, it follows my vision.
Q: You mention world leaders a lot — who do you look up to today?
A: I love Donald Trump — the young version especially. Right now, I think he may be a little controlled by powerful people (allegedly, lol), but he’s still a great man and a General in his own way. He freed more Black people from prison than any other U.S. president in history. May God help him, because that seat is not easy like people think. And me? I don’t ever want to be controlled by my new jewelries hahaha (laughs). But yes — I love Trump.
I also love Vladimir Putin. To me, he’s like a God-sent to save the world and Africa.
And Ye (Kanye West) — he’s God-sent to save Black Americans. Look at how he stood up, even saving P. Diddy from traps. Ye is the Yesus of our time.
Shout out to King Combs for reposting my story — respect. Shout out to DDG too, the 🐐 — the first American celebrity who reached out to me. All love.
Q: Can you tell us about your collections?
A: Every collection is a message:
- Bricks by Bricks 🧱 – because empire building takes time.
- Proudly African 🌍 – a salute to our roots and our pride.
- I’m an African ✊🏾 – unapologetic identity, no compromises.
- Bigger Than Black & White ⚖️ – about justice, unity, and struggle worldwide.
We also launched SCOTISHH Kids because the next generation needs to grow up with culture and pride in their wardrobe.
Q: What makes SCOTISHH unique in the streetwear world?
A: Anyone can make clothes. SCOTISHH makes statements. The difference is in the message, the quality, and the presence. We use African symbols, Italian craftsmanship, and fearless slogans. When you wear SCOTISHH, you’re not just wearing a shirt — you’re wearing culture, confidence, and a piece of history.
Q: What drives you today?
A: My daughter Octavia is by my side — she’s my reason to build, my legacy. I’m here to uplift Africans, both at home and abroad. I believe in unity: united we stand, divided we fall.
👑 Octavia Osose — Legacy of a Princess 😇
Her name is Octavia, inspired by a brave warrior from The 100 — a woman who rose from the shadows to lead with strength, fearlessness, and heart.
In my culture, she’s called Osose, her native name. She was born in Vicenza, Italy, carrying both the pride of her African roots and the spirit of a global generation.
Her lucky number is 8 — the number of infinity, power, and destiny ♾️. She’s not just my daughter; she’s my heartbeat, my future, and the royal bloodline of SCOTNERO.
An Ebhoyi Princess of Uromi Kingdom, she represents legacy, love, and cultural royalty 👸🏾✨♠️
“She’s not just my child… she’s my legacy,” said SCOTNERO 👑🖤♠️
And I have to salute Giorgia Meloni, Italy’s Prime Minister. She’s a brave woman standing up for Africa and our people. That’s my crush for life (laughs). But all love — respect where it’s due.
Q: What is your ultimate mission?
A: To finish my last battle. To build SCOTISHH into an empire that uplifts, unites, and inspires. To prove that African creativity and Italian craftsmanship together can stand at the top of global fashion.
This is not just about clothes. It’s about freedom, culture, legacy, and fire. ~~ designer Gaddafi Gen Scotnero Scotishh .
It was declared through Scotishh’s vision: “This is culture, this is legacy. SCOTISHH is a voice for Africa, made for the world.
And so, Scotishh’s journey continues—built from culture, powered by loyalty, and carried by Africa to the world. This is not just fashion, this is legacy. Stay TUNED 🫡.
